Nutrition For Pregnancy
Good Nutrition Starts at Conception
I have always been fascinated by the impact that nutrition in the womb and in our early life can have on our offspring in later life. I would like to share that understanding with you, so that you can give your child the best start in life possible. What you eat before you fall pregnant also matters, so the earlier you seek advice the better. I have witnessed many Mums that need extra support at this time in their lives and have so many questions about nutrition, but nowhere reliable to turn to. I can help you optimise your nutrition according to your own likes and dislikes, including vegetarian and vegan diets, so please do get in touch and I would be happy to discuss how I can help.
I am happy to be partnering with New Baby Matters in Exeter to deliver my Pregnancy Workshops. Therese Solon (founder of New Baby Matters) believes in the importance of preparing new parents for life with a baby, and has developed a range of classes for people in Devon dealing with a range of postnatal topics. You can book my “Eating for Two” Pregnancy Nutrition classes and find out about other classes on offer by clicking on the button below.
If you have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes please rest assured that with dietary modifications you can do a lot to help manage your blood sugars and prevent complications. Likewise, if you had it in a previous pregnancy you can make changes to prevent it in your subsequent pregnancies.
Weaning is one of those things that seems easy, until you try it! It can be a minefield of information, products and opinions out there. My weaning workshops can answer all your questions and give practical tips, to make the transition from milk to solids simple and enjoyable.
Do you find mealtimes a battle? Do you have a child that eats limited types of food? Are you worried your child isn’t getting all the nutrients they need?
Having a child that you consider a fussy eater can be really stressful and it can be hard to know how to behave around them and how to help them. I can help you identify reasons why your child has developed certain eating habits and how to help them grow into little foodies.
I run Fussy Eating workshops or for a bespoke service can arrange to visit you in your home where I can observe your child at mealtimes and better understand your worries.
